The primary school went on excursion on the 9th November, 2016 to Nigerian Railway Corperation, Kubwa Terminal. The children boarded train from Kubwa Terminal to Idu Terminal. This afforded them the opportunity to travel by railway. The excursion was very interesting and exposing to information on rail transportation in Nigeria. The children were conducted on the trip by one of the railway official who took time to explain the benefit of railway transportation.
This method of off-classroom teaching gives the children experiences of real life situation which is beneficial to their social and academic development. The excursion was an important and effective means of motivating pupils and engaging them in active learning experiences. It left a lasting impression on the pupils.
